Mark your calendar. November 8th is National First-Generation College Celebration Day. Universities across the nation are celebrating first-generation students, faculty, and staff on this day. UW-Madison’s Office of Student Financial Aid, the PEOPLE program, and the Center for Academic Excellence are hosting activities for the day.
- First-generation UW-Madison students, alumni, and faculty/staff can submit their profile by November 1st and be featured in a social media campaign.
- The hashtag #FirstGenBadger will be used to share experiences of being a first-generation student at UW-Madison
