Featured Program of the Week UW: International Field Study in Animal Agriculture and Sustainable Development
During this two-week program, you will travel with a UW faculty leader and a group of UW students through Mexico to visit a wide range of agricultural producers and processors, see their products, analyze the economic, environmental and social dimensions of the production system, and understand their respective roles in contributing to food security in a country where extreme wealth and poverty coexist.
An important note about this program is that students must be enrolled in Dairy Sci/Inter-Ag 471 or Dairy Sci/Animal Sci/Food Sci/Social Sci 472 during spring semester in order to be eligible to participate in the study abroad component of the program. The combination of the spring 2021 course and the study abroad program meets the CALS International Studies Requirement.
This program is approved as a field experience for the Certificate in Global Health, although students of all majors and certificates are welcome.
For Summer 2021, the application deadline is January 15, 2021.
