UW Health, Education, & Tanzanian Culture
As part of this three-week program that is available during both winter and summer break, you will visit health-related organizations and locations that provide programming initiatives focused on serving children working and/or living on the street with an emphasis on HIV and reproductive health. The program also includes a two-day safari, and lots of immersive cross-cultural opportunities to engage with Tanzanian culture.
This program incorporates lots of travel in the three weeks you are there, and in total you will travel to three diverse locations including the cities of Dar es Salaam, Moshi, and Zanzibar City.
This program is approved as a field experience for the Certificate in Global Health, and students of all majors and certificates are welcome. The program also meets the CALS International Studies Requirement.
For Winter Intersession 2020-2021, the application deadline is May 1, 2020.
