Applying for CALS scholarships has never been easier. CALS students first complete the WiSH “General Application”. These responses will match students to the “Colleges of Agricultural and Life Sciences Application”. After completing the CALS Application, students will be considered for ALL CALS scholarships as appropriate, depending on donor criteria such as: academic achievement, academic level, activity involvement, financial need, major and/or career interests, to name a few. Our scholarship team will use the information contained in student applications as well as relevant information obtained from the Student Information System (SIS) to match students to specific donor criteria for each scholarship we offer.
The CALS Scholarship Application for the 2020-2021 academic year will open on Friday, November 1, 2019, and will remain open until midnight, February 1st, 2020. CALS undergraduate and graduate students must apply every year in order to be considered. Funding from this application will be allocated during the 2020-2021 academic year. Students graduating in May 2020 or Summer 2020 need not apply.
To be considered for scholarships with a financial need component you must have a FAFSA filed. Please review the following site: finaid.wisc.edu/index.php. You may contact the Financial Aid Office with any questions related to FAFSA submissions.
To ensure scholarship consideration, applications must be received by midnight, February 1, 2020. Distribution of all CALS awards is contingent upon the acceptance to UW-Madison and enrollment in a CALS program in Fall 2020.
