This month a number of career exploration activities are occurring. Career exploration is important at all junctures of your academic career because it allows you to properly and thoroughly explore career paths in different settings and industries. Exploring can also help you better articulate what elements you are looking for in a career, and how a career in an area may help further your career goals. Career exploration can include actions such as scheduling an informational interview with a professional from a field you are interested in, or attending an information session from a company in an area you are interested in learning more about. One event in particular that is occuring is an information session from a fellow student, regarding serving as the Global Food Challenge Intern for Land O’ Lakes. This is an opportunity to learn about a unique internship in an area that is becoming increasingly relevant, from a current classmate. The info session will take place this Thursday from 5-6 in Steenbock Library 340.A Message from the Dean.
