A change to the CALS International Studies requirement is coming in fall 2019 to benefit current and future CALS students. The revised criteria align the requirement with the CALS Priority Themes, allowing students to deepen their understanding of CALS-related topics within an international context. Along with revised criteria, the requirement has defined and assessable learning outcomes. A new list of courses to satisfy the revised requirement will be generated from scratch over the coming year. The list of approved courses will be posted on the Academic Affairs website prior to the fall enrollment period in April 2019.
Students who take a course from the previous list during summer 2019 or before will satisfy the International Studies requirement. Beginning in fall 2019, students who have not satisfied the International Studies requirement will need to take a course on the new list. Students who take a course on the old list in fall 2019 or after will *not* be eligible to request an exception.
