New Program: Food Systems and the Environment in Northern Japan
This program is located in Obihiro, Japan and goes from Mid-August to Late August. It accounts for two credits of Horticulture 375. The program is led by UW Professor Jiwan Palta in partnership will faculty at Obihiro University in Hokkaido, Japan. Students will engage in the study of food systems by lectures, discussions, site visits, and by making connections between Japan’s and Wisconsin’s agricultural landscape. The eligibility includes as least a sophomore standing with a 2.0GPA or above and there is no language requirement.
