Europe
LMU Research Internship in Alternative Splicing and Muscle Development
Organization: Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich (LMU)
IIP Term: Summer 2017
Location: Munich, Germany

Primary Internship Duties: Complete research on how alternative splicing is regulated and what functional role alternative splicing plays during muscle development. Learn about Drosophila genetics and prepare specimens for confocal microscopy, biochemistry and techniques including Western blotting, RIP-Seq (next generation sequencing), IP-mass spec, cloning, Drosophila transgenesis, qPCR, confocal microscopy, dissection, etc.

Kantar Health Quantitative Health Studies Assistant

Pasteur Foundation Summer Internship Program

Primary Internship Duties: Work on research supervised by a lab mentor. Applicants should be eager to engage with a different culture, and self-sufficient enough to arrange travel and secure housing in Paris. Depending on availability, affordable housing in a residence on campus may be possible. Nakatani RIES: Research & International Experience Program

Compensation: Most expenses related to the internship are covered.
Primary Internship Duties: Participants from universities across the U.S. will be placed in Japanese university or research institution labs under the advisement of a Japanese host professor. All students will be assigned an English-speaking Japanese graduate student research mentor. This is only open to students finishing their first or second year on campus.
